PRENATAL MASSAGE: THE BASICS & BEYOND WITH ERIN SWEENEY

Are you an experienced prenatal massage therapist looking to expand your toolbox and resources for your clients? Are you a general practitioner who would like to learn the basics about working safely and effectively with prenatal clients? If so, Prenatal Massage – The Basics and Beyond is the course for you!

This class is being offered to both experienced and beginning massage therapists who would like to develop their confidence and skill in supporting clients during pregnancy. A review of basic positioning and massage techniques will be presented before undertaking more advanced theory and technique in addressing common pregnancy symptoms. The class will be held as a one-day workshop (9AM-5PM) and will cover:

  • Review of the stages of pregnancy including common complaints/symptoms
  • Discussion about supporting the emotional needs of pregnant women
  • Presentation of safe positioning, draping, and massage techniques
  • Supervised hands-on practice of techniques presented
