THE ART OF HOT STONE MASSAGE WITH ROBIN SHAW

Come learn the art of hot stone massage. The use of hot (and cold) stones is beneficial to clients as a form of heat (or cold) therapy, opening up the tissues, enabling your work to penetrate more deeply without extra effort for your hands. The stones seem to have a story of their own to tell. Mingled with your own intuition and listening skills, this treatment is a wonderful tool to add to your toolbox.

This class meets for a series of three 3-hour sessions. Topics covered include hot stone massage techniques and a full session treatment, harvesting and setup of stones, an exploration of the energetics of this work, body mechanics while working with stones, understanding of heat and cold therapy. There will be ample time for exchange, observation and questioning.

Class size limited to 3 students.
