Tamar Myers graduated magna cum laude from Boston University with a BA in anthropology. She studied massage at the Muscular Therapy Institute in Cambridge, Massachusetts and began her private practice as a massage therapist in 1992. After completing MTI’s teacher training program, she taught massage technique, clinical preparation, sports massage, assessment and treatment planning in addition to other courses from 1994 until the end of 2008.
In 1996, Tamar was introduced to the work of Judith Aston and was immediately drawn to the work because of her own interest in movement and Aston’s comprehensive approach to tension patterns. She is a certified practitioner of Aston-Patterner and has taken the advanced training and fitness training with Judith Aston as well.
Tamar has completed advanced coursework in Craniosacral therapy, Visceral Manipulation, Neuromuscular Therapy, Soft Tissue Injury Assessment and Treatment, and Neural Manipulation. She has studied manual osteopathy at The Canadian College of Osteopathy in Toronto.
