Reiki II
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Reiki is an ancient healing modality that works with the body’s chakra system or energy field. It has become increasingly accepted in Western medicine as an alternative healing modality. It is now widely used in hospitals for pain management and with oncology patients for its positive effect on pain, nausea, insomnia, anxiety and depression. In my work with Hospice, I find that I use Reiki with almost every patient.
Reiki is a perfect addition to every massage therapists practice. It can be easily integrated into a massage session or offered as its own service.
The second-degree attunement is associated with the mental and emotional bodies. This attunement takes us further into ourselves, provides tools for further self-discovery and exploration. Ethically, it is expected that a practitioner will not accept payment for Reiki until being attuned to level II.
Class participants will learn 3 of the Reiki symbols used to magnify and focus Reiki healing energies. These symbols are sacred to Reiki practitioners and are only shown to the initiated. Additional techniques and applications are taught, including absentee Reiki, the use of pendulums and crystals and manifesting techniques. The attunement will build upon the first-degree attunement, further opening the practitioner to the Reiki energy and intensifying the resulting healing effects.
