The Bodywork Education Project
Welcome to The Bodywork Education Project. We are a consortium of bodywork teachers dedicated to creating excellent and affordable continuing education courses for massage and bodywork practitioners.
Each teacher involved in this Project has countless hours of exploration across many modalities, often in unusual combinations. From the outset, we challenged one another to create classes based on what we loved and felt was most valuable to us in our work. We hope you’ll peruse our biographies and class descriptions for details. Each teacher is also personally available to talk with interested students.
Like most practitioners of massage and bodywork, we are weavers: we explore the many facets of massage and bodywork and create our own designs as we go along. We explore what sparks our interest, what we enjoy, what feels useful. We gather that which most resonates within us to weave the fabric of our work. Each modality we study influences, informs and changes that fabric; this is so much of what makes the work live, and what keeps it challenging and fun.
You’ll notice that some themes are constant throughout most classes offered:
Striving to improve in these arenas is truly deep work.
We are perpetual students and offer these courses to all perpetual students out there for whom the driving force in their work is an endless curiosity and commitment to excellence. We hope you will find that each class you take with TBEP offers helpful guidance as you explore what you love, and inspires you to delve into that all the more deeply.

- the importance of careful palpation
- the evolution of more specific, nuanced touch
- working safely and effectively
